The annual meeting of the German-Austrian-Swiss section of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (DACH-ISMRM) will take place in Kiel, Germany, from September 16 to 17, 2025. This year is special as we also welcome the Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish Members of the ISMRM – the Nordic Chapter.
A special emphasis of the joint Nordic+DACH-ISMRM conference is the support of young scientists in the field of magnetic resonance in the DACH region and from the Nordic Chapter. We would therefore particularly like to address and motivate students, doctoral candidates and young researchers to submit and present their work.

Hi everyone!
We are the Section Biomedical Imaging of the Department of Radiology and Neuroradiology UKSH Kiel and Kiel University. Our interdisciplinary group comprises about 40-50 group members at all career stages – with physicists, chemists, biologists, material and computer scientists working together to advance biomedical imaging. We warmly welcome you in Kiel, to the 27th Annual Meeting of the German-Austrian-Swiss section ISMRM e.V.!

About Nordic+DACH-ISMRM
This annual conference is intended for individuals actively engaged in magnetic resonance research, as well as those looking to become involved in the field. It is particularly relevant for students, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers. For early-career scientists in magnetic resonance, the conference provides an excellent platform to gain experience in presenting scientific findings. To foster broader participation and engagement, all presentations this year will be conducted in English, ensuring an inclusive discussion for our guests from the Nordic Chapter.
Our goal is to establish and strengthen connections among working groups through open discussions. The program includes lectures and poster presentations, with ample time for networking and discussions. Additional events such as an icebreaker session, social dinner, workshops, and other activities are also included.

Workshops
Don’t miss out on the pre-workshop on Monday, Sept 15, 2025: „Carreer session – meet scientists who moved from academia to industry“. The pre-workshop offers a unique opportunity to make initial contact with industry partners, business leaders, or mentors.
We also would like to highlight the after-workshop on Thursday, Sept 18, 2025 with hands-on experiments, featuring experiments related to MRI, hyperpolarization, DNP, etc. This workshop will take place at the Molecular Imaging North Competence Center (MOIN CC) laboratories.
Awards
For DACH-ISMRM members:
A special recognition, the Gorter Prize, is awarded to early-career scientists of the DACH-Region, who have demonstrated outstanding and excellent work. This prize includes an award of up to €1000.
